Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a behavioral health field
    ​

  • Current State Board of Behavioral Health licensure in at least one of the following:

    • Social Work

    • Professional Counseling

    • Marriage and Family Counseling
       

  • Independently licensed or actively pursuing independent licensure through the state
     

  • Ability to work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults
     

  • Strong communication and clinical counseling skills
     

  • Ability to provide therapeutic services addressing a range of behavioral health and substance use concerns
     

Duties

  • Provide therapy sessions under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor
     

  • Coordinate all aspects of client care from admission through discharge in accordance with Canfield Counseling policies
     

  • Orient clients to services and educate them on treatment goals
     

  • Monitor client progress to ensure treatment plans are followed
     

  • Facilitate group sessions and provide psychoeducation as needed
     

  • Address and resolve client concerns in a timely and professional manner
     

  • Attend required staff meetings
     

  • Maintain accurate client records and complete required documentation
     

  • Return phone calls and emails promptly
     

  • Demonstrate a commitment to comprehensive, client-centered care from intake through discharge
