Life tasks us with many challenges that are often overwhelming to approach. I have pondered the “why” of many life experiences. Therapy is helpful as it offers a safe space for individuals to uncover the mystery behind “why” or identify their own perceived meaning and move forward to grow into their most authentic selves. I believe each human being is unique and has their own journey. The path may not always be clear, which is why I provide my clients a safe, welcoming, nonjudgmental space to discover themselves and the tools needed to establish a personalized life worth living.

My therapeutic approach consists of pragmatic and family concepts. I believe in a personalized approach to therapy, therefore I draw from various therapeutic modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, as well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I also utilize expressive art and play therapies as well. I find value in understanding the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors because it allows us to feel more in control of our reality. My clients have found this understanding helps answer some of their “why” questions in life. I strive to guide clients to this understanding and build on their strengths to achieve their goals.

You have a unique story to tell, and I am eager to read it! I look forward to helping you along this journey.

I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the CACREP-accredited online counseling program, offered by The University of the Cumberlands. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at Arizona State University, where I majored in psychology and minored in sociology. I receive direct clinical supervision from AZBBHE- approved Diana Canfield, M.S., LPC.
