I believe everyone deserves to live a life that is fulfilling and true to who they are. Achieving this requires knowledge of our thoughts, experiences, and the many intersecting parts of our identity. But sometimes, that is easier said than done. We may need support and encouragement to recognize what fulfillment looks like for us and what steps it entails. My hope is to support you with that process to the best of my abilities.
My therapeutic approach is primarily based on humanistic and pragmatic concepts, incorporating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Multicultural Therapy. Essentially, I believe that by understanding our reality, we can become better equipped to influence it. Counseling should be a dynamic process that allows you to both obtain new skills and tap into strengths you already possess. When working with clients, I want everyone to be met with compassion and acceptance. As we learn more about each other, I will strive to foster collaboration, openness, and authenticity. With that, congratulations on the start (or continuation) of your counseling journey!
I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the AZBBHE-approved program offered by Grand Canyon University. I also earned my Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Family and Human Development. I receive direct clinical supervision from AZBBHE-approved counselor Diana Canfield, MS, LPC.
